Every year since 2000, around 120,000 people have listened to Nuremberg's two major orchestras at the picnic in the parkland of Luitpoldhain. Thanks to the support of many individuals and Nuremberg companies, admission is also free in 2024. Thank you to everyone who makes music resound in Europe's greenest concert hall.
The first Klassik Open Air with the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg will take place on July 27, 2025. The concert will be conducted by General Music Director Roland Böer. First on the program is the family concert at 11 am for young and old. At the evening concert at 8 pm, the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg will bring “Goldene Zeiten” to the stage.
Two weeks later, on August 9, 2025 at 8 pm, the Nürnberger Symphoniker will present a concert entitled “Nürnberg grüßt die weite Welt” under Chief Conductor Jonathan Darlington, which will take the audience on a journey through major cities.
